It is with much gratitude and excitement that the three of us have been brought together through the teachings of the Inka and Elizabeth Jenkins.

As you know, earth energies are rapidly changing and through Andean mysticism we have found a simple, yet profound way to adapt more easily to these uncertain times. By using the tools found within the Inka teachings we feel we are able to come from a more open, undefended heart.

We created the Heart Speaks to help people experience and explore new possibilities and create a greater sense of community, purpose and connection.

We invite you to share a part of our journey so far, by viewing our site.

We hope it will inspire you and ignite your passion.

Much Munay,

Leslie, Suze and Elinor

A SHORT HISTORY  -  HOW IT CAME TO THE ATTENTION OF THE WORLD

In the 1940’s, Oscar Nunez del Prado was an anthropologist studying the Q’ero Indians in the High Andes.  He noticed that throughout the many villages in this far-flung region, there was a consistent set of beliefs and practices being observed. This led him to search for the philosophy that bound all these communities together.  Gradually his awareness grew that these people were the direct descendants of the great Inkan Empire that had collapsed in the mid 16th century.

The positive link was made through their weavings. They were still using patterns and designs that dated back to before the arrival of the Spanish and the demise of the Empire and the Inkan way of life.

There is no written history of the Inka or their descendants, the Q’eros.  Knotted, multi-coloured cords called Khipus and “the Rememberers” ( a class of people within that society who were given the task to remember and pass on the important records of the culture) had kept the knowledge alive and orally preserved.

Oscar’s son Juan continued in his father’s footsteps as an anthropologist.  His curiosity and fascination with the mystical practices of these people eventually led him to Don Manuel Q’espi and with much persistence over 10 years he became initiated as a 4th level priest in this tradition.

Elizabeth B. Jenkins is an American who was inexplicably drawn to Peru in 1988.  Her mystical experiences and encounters with a 3rd level priest in Cuzco rocked her world and set her on a path of discovering the meaning of what had happened to her.  It was not until she met Juan Nunez del Prado 2 years later that she began to get some answers.  In 5 years she too became initiated into this tradition as a 4th level priest.

Elizabeth and Juan have gone on to spread these teachings in North and South America and Europe and to initiate others into the 4th level of the Andean Mystical tradition.

In August 2009 we were honoured to be the first group to host Elizabeth and the  Inka teachings in Canada.

WHY THE INKA TEACHINGS RESONATE WITH US

1. The set of techniques taught to awaken the Inka Seed, the Divine Seed within us all, promotes empowerment of the individual and the honouring of each person’s perceptions.  One doesn’t follow any guru on this path.  Each paqo, or initiate is encouraged to focus on their own experiences of connecting with the Living Energies.  We all have different ESP abilities (extra sensory perception) that need to be recognized and honed.  If you smell something, then connect with that.  If you perceive through feeling, let that be your guide.  You may see or hear something or just “know” without knowing how you know.

2. The main rituals and practices can be done every day as you go about your daily life.  They are simple and immediate.  If there’s one word that signifies these practices, it’s CONNECTION - the importance of connecting with oneself and one’s Energy Field, connecting with your fellow human beings and connecting with the Elements, the Cosmos and the Divine.

3. There is only one Rule or Law in this tradition – Practice AYNI – SACRED RECIPROCITY.  This law was developed by observing the give and take of Nature.  For example we take in Oxygen given by the plant life who in turn take in our Carbon Dioxide in a never ending cycle of reciprosity. This applies on all levels of the physical and spiritual worlds.

4. An important aspect of these teachings which shifts our belief system is the principle that when speaking of Energy there’s no such thing as good or bad.  Energy is either Heavy (HOOCHA) or Refined (SAMI).  This has a two-fold purpose.  First, it takes our consciousness out of judgement and into discernment. Secondly, it puts us in touch with our senses – developing them in order to tune in to the Energy of the world around us.

5. This tradition is one of INCLUSIVITY.  It sees beyond the form of other religions to the Sacred Ideals being expressed.  When the Spanish Conquistadors invaded their land, the Inka embraced the spiritual teachings of the Roman Catholic faith and incorporated many aspects of this religion into their practices.

6. There`s another principle that`s such a welcome antidote to the culture of competition and survival of the fittest that we have grown up with.  It`s incumbent on all to give a hand up to everyone else.  If someone achieves a higher level of knowledge or understanding, they must share it with all until each and every one has been brought up to that same level.
